Surgical intervention is often required for type A dissections, while medical management is the mainstay for type B dissections. Long-term management includes surveillance, lifestyle modifications, and regular follow-up to monitor disease progression and prevent complications.

Clinical pharmacists with a strong understanding of the clinical presentation, diagnostic approach, pharmacotherapy, and key guidelines can contribute significantly to optimizing patient care and improving outcomes in acute aortic aneurysm dissection.
