Acute decompensated heart failure

This lesson is meticulously designed to provide healthcare professionals with the specialized knowledge and skills required to effectively manage acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) in emergency settings. ADHF is a challenging and potentially life-threatening condition that demands prompt intervention. By the end of this lesson, participants will be equipped to make informed decisions, select appropriate pharmacotherapy, and optimize patient care in cases of ADHF.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the pathophysiology of acute decompensated heart failure, including the mechanisms contributing to fluid overload, increased cardiac workload, and tissue hypoperfusion.
